Criteria: This award is open to all businesses within the “Creative” sector including architects, designers, arts, photographers, marketing consultants, graphic designers, web developers and crafts businesses – in fact, any business practising “design” in its broadest sense.

Obviously “design” is very subjective and, consequently, the judging panel will also be interested in proof of business growth over the past 24 months and projected growth over the next 24 months.

Once again “innovation” will be key in addition to market research and product development.

Sustainability can only be achieved through good market research and product development and the judging panel will be interested in these areas of the business activity and plans for growth in existing or new markets

8. Retailer of the Year Award

The business will demonstrate that it is not only delivering exceptional financial performance and sales growth but will also reflect the changes that are taking place across the industry. To be an outstanding retailer today, this business will be able to show how it has adapted to the realities of the digital world by transforming its approach to retailing and the way that it is managing for the future
